Copy: Okay, you’ve got yourself a little healthcare plan. Cool! Plenty of docs. Plenty of hospitals. Hilary doesn’t even have to worry about you. Right. You get sick you see a doctor. You get really sick, the doc puts you in a hospital. But what doctor? What hospital? See there’s the rub, the old plot thickens. Kansas City hospitals are starting to merge, fold, affiliate and specialize. Hospital A transplants kidneys. Hospital B transplants hearts. Hospital C transplants hair. (That’s good to know. Okay.) So where does that leave you. You’ve got body parts all over town. Now if you’re lucky KU Medical Center is part of your health plan. They have primary care folks like family practice, pediatricians, internists and obstetricians. Plus they’re the only hospital in town with 226 medical specialties all under one roof. Well actually they’re all under about 14 roofs but they’re connected by this really cool tunnel. If your health plan has KU on it, just call 588-1227 for the Physician Referral Line. Keep your body parts together. 588-1227.
